WHEN

Harmonia opens up auditions for new members several times a year at the beginning of each seasonal concert set. General rehearsal times are Mondays from 7-9:30 PM at the Kanbar Performing Arts Center in San Francisco.

WHAT

TECHNIQUE AND FUNDAMENTALS

As in most singing auditions, we evaluate prospective voices based on tonal exercises that test range, tone, and pitch.

SINGING IN HARMONY

We also evaluate your ability to sing the complex harmonic lines involved in barbershop harmony singing in a second round audition.

HARMONIA CULTURE

While your singing skills are important, we also take the time to learn more about you as a human being. We want to ensure all prospective members are aligned with Harmonia’s mission and culture!
